My flybook was in its neoprene casing sitting on a low table and I bumped the corner and down it went.
It comes up and I can even do about a minute of tasks (like getting mission critical data off of it) and then it locks up – the keys, the lights, the screen, everything locks.
I *think* what is happening is that the fan isn’t coming on and it is overheating. As an experiment, I held it up to a household fan and was able to run it for several minutes before the locking up occurred. The fan remained “stopped” during the entire experiment.
So now to find out… since Memphis closed… where to send the little bugger? I’m going to submit a trouble ticket on the Taiwan website (but if anyone has info to give me, please chime in!).

I’m a former Flybook reseller, and I’ve recently been in touch with Flybook USA regarding support for my Flybook customers. I don’t have any official information, but if you send me an offline email, I believe I can help you get in touch with the powers-that-be at Flybook USA.

P.S.
I posted MY Flybook story on this site a few months ago. It makes for some entertaining reading.
Well, it has been over a week and no one from Dialogue has contacted me…??
Whoo hoo… received a UPS label today and my Flybook is winging its way to Sunnyvale CA. Hopefully I’ll have it back on Friday (or Monday).
