What to do… what to do…

In the last two days I have had three different comments placed on my blog that are personally attacking someone associated with Dialogue. That is not the intent of my blog and I would like to keep things on track – discussing your experiences with the Flybook V5. These posts put me in a very tenuous position – I feel comfortable blogging about my own experiences with the company and their personnel, and I do think we all need to be aware of actual issues that come up dealing with support, but comments by former business partners and ex-employees make me very uncomfortable.

I have changed the commenting ability on my site to hold comments for moderation unless the person commenting has had a comment previously approved. I’m hoping that will do the trick and that I won’t have to moderate *all* comments from now on.

Just as a heads up – when commenting, you are required to enter an email address. If I find a post that makes me uncomfortable, I will verify the email address. Blanket statement: any posts with bogus email addresses, or from posters who don’t respond to my verification request, will automatically be treated as spam.

Update: 2008-03-28

Do I really need to post legal jargon to a blog? Grief. Yes, I could just limit the blog to only my experiences, but that seems like it would be a less than useful “one-hand-clapping” situation. I think it is obvious, if you read my blog entries to date, that I am approaching my ownership of the V5 with a positive attitude. Any critical comments I have made or will make are sincerely made with the hope that situations can be improved upon for one and all. Obviously, I can only stand behind the veracity of my own statements and do not condone, support, or lend credence to any comments posted by others.

Again… grief!
